Corner Fireplace
Designs
Adding a fireplace to your home or including it whenever you
are building a new home can certainly give you something that
will no doubt become an enjoyable part of your environment. One
of the main problems with adding a fireplace, however, is that
they take up so much room that it is difficult to choose where
they should go. Most of us do not have homes with large rooms
and if we want to fit a fireplace into the area, we might need
to consider one of the corner fireplace designs. After all,
putting a fireplace in the middle of the wall is going to take
up the entire wall for us, not allowing us any space to do
anything else.
There are plenty of corner fireplace designs that are
available for you to choose from. The most traditional,
however, are going to be either brick or stone fireplaces which
are built into the area and burn wood. A wood burning fireplace
certainly does give you a nostalgic feel that is not
necessarily available with one that is gas burning.

There are some things to consider, however, when it comes to
burning wood inside the home. First of all, you are going to
have to deal with a smoky smell that will get into all of your
furniture, drapes and stick to your home, regardless of how
much you clean. Secondly, wood burning fireplaces tend to be a
dust magnet so you can plan on dusting on a regular basis, even
more so than you do now.
One of the more unique types of a corner fireplace design
are prefabricated fireplaces that simply fit into place. You
can get these that burn wood but more than likely, you're going
to have to get one that burns gas for fuel. Gas is extremely
convenient, clean and easy to use for a fireplace. All you
would need to do is to slip the prefabricated fireplace into
the corner, have a professional hook up the lines for the gas
and to vent any fumes that are necessary.
If you are limited on space and would like to have the
comfort of having a fireplace in your home, one of the corner
fireplace designs can certainly give you what you are looking
for. You will still be able to use your room for whatever else
you had used it for previously but by adding a fireplace to it,
it will seem more like a home.
